Looks like this will be my last blog posting from Sri Lanka. Tomorrow I'm flying out to Australia.
My new job is at Unique World and my first assignment will be on SharePoint. It's going to be tough to move over to a new country, start a new job and in the process a new life. But I'm looking forward to the challenge.
So here goes, you will be seeing a lot of SharePoint stuff on this blog in the coming months so stay tuned!

I never wanna make this blog a cinema or filmstar gossip blog. But I couldn’t avoid doing this post coz my buddy Naya wanted me to post this.
“Asai mang piyambanna” is a new sinhala movie which would be released soon [or may be already released…Heh I don’t watch T.V]. Hope you have seen trailers on T.V if you are not some one like me & watching T.V. Naya emphasises that it’s a translated copy
of the bollywood film Taal. I’m not gona think twice to believe him coz I’m 101% sure of his opinion due to earlier experiences. However it’s still your choice whether watching the film & realise whether Naya is right. Naya invites movie lovers to watch taal before watching “Asai mang piyambanna”.
Naya says “Pooja Umashankar,Roshan Ranawana & Sanath Goonathilleke act in ‘Asai mang piyambanna’ while Aishwarya Rai & Akshay Khanna act in Taal”
I’ve heard few songs of BNS which are gaining popularity when I *heard* the trailers on T.V.

I upgraded to Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon over the weekend. Then I noticed Pidgin (formally Gaim) was not connecting properly. It was complaining about a SSL library.
I installed the nss library using this command.
sudo aptitude install libnss3-dev
It was mentioned in this thread and its working fine now.

Do you want to be *you* wherever you are on the internet? .Did you use your Nick name &/or avatar to represent you when you comment on blogs, shouting in forums & so on? Have you ever been looking for a universal Identity on internet? If you are a serious online person you might have said “yes” for three times.
I always wanted to show it’s me in my online activities [which are not intended to be stealthy
]. That’s why I registered on mybloglog.com , Gravatar.com & was proud to be on wordpress.com . I wanted a universal ID for my online activities.Open ID did not impress me though.
However we are one step close to such a thing, a universal online ID because automattic acquired Gravatar.com . Automattic the company behind Wordpress, Technorati which are cool services is now has their hands on Gravatar.com which gave us a globally recognized avatar. I believe this would be a great combination & it would give us nearly-universal ID.
Once you are registered & do the rest, Gravatar.com let’s you use your email address as a key to your identity. When you put your email when you comment on a Gravatar enabled blog your avatar uploaded on Gravatar shows up to represent you.
From now on all wordpress.com blogs will be Gravatar enabled. Wordpress will soon provide easy ways to set self hosted wordpress blogs, Gravatar enabled. I feel this would get me nearly-universal online ID & great it would be my email address.
Hurry up & join the club. Read this before the jump.
PS: All about setting up gravatar support for your wordpress.org blog is HERE
